Sustainable Brand Edit

Sustainability is super on trend right now. It seems that every influencer is now on board with sustainability, even if they weren’t before. I hope they stick to it. For some of us we’ve been campaigning for the fashion industry and consumers to start taking responsibility for what is happening to our environment and to stop and think about our purchasing choices we make.

Style Session - Black Slip Dress

When it comes to buying a dress, I like to know that I can style many different ways and wear it all year round. This is why I love a slip dress. It’s versatile, easy to style and it can be worn all year round. I fell in love with this Vero Moda Black Lace Recycled Dress from Born at Dawn. It ticked all the boxes for me. Black, pretty and recycled polyester.

Below I show you how to style it up 5 ways: casual, evening, with boots and a belt, styled over jeans and with a vintage tee and trousers. There are so many other ways of styling this dress, but I encourage you to style it up your own way and I want to see too!!!!

Wardrobe Care Essentials

So today I want to talk about Wardrobe Care Essentials. What exactly are wardrobe care essentials? Well, they are items that you can use to help prolong the lifetime of your clothing. Sustainability isn’t just about buying organic or eco clothing, it’s also about taking care of the clothing you already have. Society has taught us that it’s ok to head out to the shops, but a cheap shirt, wear it a few times and then toss it. But what if we all stopped doing this and actually went out bought something nice and actually took care of it!!!! What a grand idea!

Tunage Tuesday - Find Me Session 18

It’s crazy how fast a year goes by these days. I feel like I blink and then it’s gone. I’m always torn when it comes to a New Year as I want to have so much hope that this year will all make sense, and that everything will click and fall into place. Then there’s the let’s reflect on what we’ve accomplished so far aspect. I know this is important because it’s so easy to forget how far we have actually come in one year. But what if your progress wasn’t as great as you wanted it to be. Can you still say wow look how far I’ve come? There seems to be so much pressure to succeeding in one year. Success takes years to build. So you can see why I’m so torn when it comes to the New Year. I’m torn between excitement and disappointment.

December's Wishlist

I know Christmas is right around the corner and I know it’s probably silly to have a wishlist but hey why not? My family doesn’t really do a big Christmas so I know these pieces won’t be under the tree but hey that’s ok. Can still use it as a hint hint to the husband haha. My birthday is just around the corner.

Tunage Tuesday - Home

I’m so happy to share another playsuit with you today. It’s a good one. I put together playlists based on how I’m feeling at the moment. Some may be super up-beat and fun and others may be a bit more subdued, a bit more reflective. As many of you know my family made a big move from London to Frankfurt, Germany, so we’ve been settling in here and learning to call this place our home.

Back to Basics

I don’t know about you, but I tend to want to skip the whole spending money on basics for the wardrobe and would prefer to buy a pretty dress or another pair of jeans that I don’t need. But I’ve come to terms with the essentiality of basics. You need basics plain and simple.

October's Favourites

I’m not going to lie, I love fashion, I really really do. I look around and pretty much want everything, but there’s a few big problems here: 1. I don’t have all the money in the world, 2. I don’t actually need it all, and 3. Most of what I see may look super cool from afar but as soon as I get close and touch it, disappointment sets in.

So This is Goodbye

Dear London,

Where has the time gone? It seems like yesterday I showed up as a student ready to take on the city. I did take on the city, especially when I first came. I don't think I slept for three months! I made incredible friends and met the love of my life. Who would have thought a girl from the Midwest, Middle America would find herself spending 10 years of her life with you, London. Leaving my friends behind in the States was no easy task.

Wardrobe Edit: Wrap Dresses

I'm a sucker for a wrap dress. I just can't get enough of them. Now I must say though, if you don't buy the right wrap dress for your body shape it can go all wrong. Not every wrap dress is suited for the same person. For example, I have what you may call a big rack, yes I am blessed in the boobage area, so I wouldn't go for a dress that would have me spilling out. I would want a bit more coverage so I am comfortable and not constantly starting at my own chest. Now if you are wanting a wrap dress that is a bit more sexy and want to show your amazing cleavage, do it!!!!

Tunage Tuesday: Change Session 15

Change. For some of us change is exciting, for others it's the most terrifying thing you could ever experience. I believe that change can bring new life, a breathe of fresh air, new ideas, new friends, and new experiences. Now this is not to say change isn't fucking scary. It is. Not knowing the future and how it will all play out is honestly a leap of faith.

This Week's Wishlist

I'm keeping this weeks wishlist short and sweet. Every single piece I've included this week is something I would wear over and over again. When looking for new items to add to my wardrobe I always think in outfits. I like to see how I can piece things together or think about how these items would fit in well with what I have already.
